TO GLORIFY CHRIST BY MULTIPLYING FULLY DEVOTED FOLLOWERS OF ALL NATIONS!

Our Vision: TO GLORIFY CHRIST… (Philippians 3:10 – to know and become like Christ)

Our Mission: BY MULTIPLYING FULLY DEVOTED FOLLOWERS… (Matthew 28:18-20 – to go
and make disciples)

Our Goal: OF ALL NATIONS (Psalm 67:1-2 – international impact for God’s glory)

OUR VISION

TO GLORIFY CHRIST ...

Over ten different nations are represented in the Worship services every weekend at the ARK INTERNATIONAL CHURCH.  We have been raised up to equip fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ for ministry in the last days. With a vision of hope and a commitment to prayer, The Great Commandment, and The Great Commission the Kingdom of God is being advanced. By the power of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God we will equip a generation of Champions for Christ who are living a life for the glory of God and ministering in anticipation for His return!

WEEKEND WORSHIP EXPERIENCES

It is our desire that our life would be an expression of worship and our services would experience God’s power and presence in worship.  The ARK strives to be a living witness that declares God’s power and presence.    To the ARK International Church worship is more than a song or service it is our purpose that our worship will be a celebration of His goodness and a declaration of His Glory.  Our services begin every Sunday at 10:30AM

LIFESTYLE

Worship is a lifestyle that witnesses to the world that Jesus Christ is Lord.  “Foundational to living is worship.  God must be the center of attention in every church.  Our view of God will determine how we approach every other activity of our life.”

SERVICE (Your Ministry)

The Bible teaches that every Christian is called to “full time” Christian service, regardless of his or her vocation. We practice the truth that every believer is a minister by encouraging every member to find a place and ministry.

OUR MISSION

BY MULTIPLYING FULLY DEVOTED FOLLOWERS ...

FAMILY FIRST NIGHT

Fellowship happens when a believer finds a place of belonging. God has wired us for connection.  So just as the church in Acts met together and ate together, so our church body needs to be connected to each other.  When people are connected, they will achieve more.”  The first Wednesday Night of each month will be an opportunity of fellowship with a meal and a worship service including our kids and students.  A nursery (newborns-2yrs old.) will be provided for the service.

LIFE GROUPS

Our hearts were made for community. We   hunger for the deep, authentic relationships Jesus had in mind when He prayed that His  followers would be one. We are seeking to be a place where nobody stands alone. Helping people grow together in their faith through close knit communities is what the ARK is all about. Future success at the ARK will be defined by how effectively our ministries move people from our larger Weekend Worship Experiences into small groups.   At the ARK Church, the small group is the best place for sustained life change to occur. In a small group, people study God's Word together and discuss the issues and challenges of life. It's also where they pray, care for one another, and are missed if they don't show up.  That's why we will place such a high premium on Life Groups.  Our Life Groups are held the following weeks we do not have Family First Nights.

There is training for Life Group leaders and the content of each group will be posted along with the names of the leaders of each group for sign up opportunities and information beginning each semester. Life Groups run in three semesters with a Spring (FEB-MAY), Summer (JUN-AUG), and Fall (SEP-NOV) Semesters.  There is always a start and stop time to each of our Life Groups but you are welcome and  encouraged to join at anytime in the semester.

LIFE DEVELOPMENT CLASSES

There is no more exciting adventure or fulfilling challenge than that of a lifelong pursuit of becoming like Christ. Part of the ARK Church’s desire is to lead you to a deeper, more fulfilling and growing faith.  An every-member ministry is the biblical mandate prescribed in Ephesians 4.  We desire to provide opportunities and practical helps for taking the “next steps” in your journey toward Christ likeness and preparing you for service. We are excited about your future and we are trusting God to change your life. The classes that are available are designed to provide you with insights about spiritual maturity and intimacy with Jesus in fresh new ways, no matter how long you’ve been a believer. We desire to help you discover this incredible life that God has called us.

This is our simple process for connecting people to the church family and developing fully devoted followers of Christ who fulfill their ministry in the church and Christ’s mission to the world.  Our classes are held throughout the spring and fall in systematic order.

1. Worship – Exalting Jesus Christ.
The ARK International church strives to be a living witness that declares God’s power and presence. It is our desire that our life would be an expression of worship and our services would experience God’s power and presence in Worship. To the ARK International Church worship is more than a song or service it is our goal that our worship would be a witness to all of the Lord Jesus Christ.

2. Fellowship – Encouraging other Christians
Fellowship happens when a believer finds a place of belonging. It is extended when that place of belonging allows us to become what God desires of us. Allows, encourages and even guides us to all of God.

3. Discipleship – Educate Christians toward spiritual maturity.
Discipleship is the development of our relationship with God. Ongoing spiritual maturity is taught primarily through preaching and small groups.

4. Ministry – Equipping Christians for ministry.
The Bible teaches that every Christians is called to “full time” Christian service, regardless of his or her vocation. We practice the truth that every believer is a minister by encouraging every member to find a place and ministry. Every believer has direct access to God through prayer and Scripture.

5. Evangelism – Evangelizing the world for Christ.
The ARK’s desire is to reach those in our communities. Evangelism is not only a strategic event targeting sinners, but it is equipping every believer to reach those in their areas of influence such as jobs, neighbors and families. We are reaching nations and generations.

Our History

On Easter Sunday 1979 a new church was established in Nags Head by Evangelist David Daniels. The Outer Banks Worship Center was grown from a tent meeting to a strong congregation that ministers to thousands of tourists who vacation on the Outer Banks. A unique sanctuary built in the shape of a large boat houses a growing congregation. Due to its distinctive shape, the building has been featured in many national periodicals.

People called the church "The Ark".

Pastor Daniels was born in Wanchese, NC, one of fifteen children to be born to Malcolm and Maude Daniels. His passion for souls has taken him around the world. That passion was contagious as the Ark has become a district leader in world missions giving.

In 2002, Pastor Jim Lewis became the Senior Pastor. By 2005, the church was functioning as two separate churches from one building - an English Congregation and a Spanish Congregation led by Pastor Roga Compean. The need to become one church became the heart and passion of both Pastors and congregations. In April, 2005 the two became one and the church took on a new name that represented the church as a whole: The Ark International Church of The Assemblies of God.
